Businesses in Dublin, Cork, Monaghan and Portlaoise are invited to attend the Get WebActivated events to meet 250 graduate website designers and digital marketeers who can help local businesses to maximise their online potential.
The events taking place this month will feature free digital marketing advice clinics for businesses, special guest speakers and will showcase the talents of 250 jobseekers from Dublin, Cork, Portlaoise and Monaghan, who have reskilled through Digital Skills Academy’s WebActivate programme.
The WebActivate programme is an intensive eight-month online publishing, digital marketing and entrepreneurship programme which reskilled jobseekers to become self-employed web publishers and digital marketeers servicing local businesses in their area or to start new careers as digitally-skilled employees.
Through the programme, participants have already worked with a wide range of businesses providing them with website design, mobile websites, digital marketing guidance and improved SEO rankings, and this impressive portfolio of work will also be showcased at the events. Businesses will also benefit from meeting local talent who can support their businesses and will benefit from free digital marketing clinics and digital audits, provided by the WebActivate graduates at the event.

Delivered by Digital Skills Academy, the WebActivate programme leads to a Continuing Professional Development Diploma (CPD Special Purpose Award) in Digital, awarded by Dublin Institute of Technology. Funded by the Government’s Momentum programme, WebActivate was free-of-charge for eligible jobseekers who were unemployed for 12 months or more. 250 jobseekers participated in the programme which was delivered in Dublin, Cork, Portlaoise and Monaghan town.

- Monaghan – Wednesday, 20th November (5pm-7pm) – Monaghan Education Centre, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan
- Cork – Monday, 25th November (5pm – 7pm) – Webworks Cork, Eglinton Street, Cork
- Portlaoise – Tuesday, 26th November (5pm-7pm) – Laois Education Centre, Block Road, Portlaoise
- Dublin – Thursday, 28th November (5pm – 7pm) – Digital Skills Academy, Digital Exchange, Crane Street, The Digital Hub, Dublin 8.
